Serious question… can anyone make the case for why we should call cashu tips over nostr zaps?
I’m extremely bullish on e-cash over nostr, but calling them zaps is nonsensical.
Amazing. People learning quickly the similarities between locked ecash tokens and nostr events. Both are just crytographically signed chunks of data that can be transmitted or stored anywhere. A token isn’t locked to a given wallet the same way a nostr event isn’t bound to a certain relay/client. The ecash mint just needs to be able to validate the token and spender at the time of spend the same way a nostr client validates an nevent signature and its author. I don’t know how @PABLOF7z made this all work, but ecash over nostr was inevitable.

Hadn’t heard about the nostr taproot address - seems like clients could check this address for an “orange check” verification.
Also, boosting this from nostr-enabled Fountain… the network keeps growing!
