The view from Micks Monster Burger Bar at the top of Portsdown Hill, overlooking #Portsmouth. The body of water to the left is Langstone, where my boat is. The body of water to the right is Portsmouth Harbour. #photography

Of course, these are bandaids. In reality there should be no need for these and they'd remain as fall backs for worst case scenarios. Addressing the route cause of nostrs jankiness should be a priority. It ruins the user experience. It's much more important, in my humble opinion, than the current kind 1,1111 debate. Another minor UI fix coming shortly. This bugs me as much as profiles not loading. I can now refresh those, later today I'll be able to reload a quoted note that failed. We might not be able to rid ourselves of the irritating issues that plague the network but we can sure as hell make fixing things as simple as a quick button press. It's not much to ask, is it?

Now I know I'm not as clever as sone of the people here, so shoot me down if you will, but I've got a pretty good idea how my account got fucked over yesterday. I'm going to try to reproduce the attack on a Plume subdomain later today, when I get the chance. Shouldn't be too tough once I've explained it to the clanker.

😂

Just tried 6 times to tag someone in a note on Amethyst. 6 times it crashed. 6 times I sent a crash report. Still haven't tagged the person and sent the post. Such reliability. Don't worry, I'm not just bitching out Amethyst. I tried loading Plume and sending from there and the sodding site won't even load my profile feed so I can find the note.

Off up the hospital in a bit - over the last 24 hours my mates condition has improved. He's not out the woods yet, but he's definitely on the other side of this, for now. Gotta remind him, too, that he made a deal. That night when he was in the worst pain and facing imminent surgery he pleaded with God to not make it happen now, to give him time to heal and recover, then get the work done when he's had a chance to build his strength up. He said he'd go back to church if he was spared that. Well, a deals a deal.

GM #nostr ☕️ What self inflicted drama and harm are we going to enjoy today then folks? What's next on the list of things to break for the fun of it?

Fave new feature in Plume. Next thing to add is ability to add multiple images to a single post. Just had to come back to Amethyst to do this 😂 for shame, Matt, for shame.
