Possibly the only Bitcoiner to have *actually* lost everything in a boating accident.

Just watching an advert advert a company called "Drafty", as in, overdraft. Tells you all about how easy it is to get in to debt.
What's wrong with saving up, then when something goes wrong, you've got the money, sitting there.
This relentless propaganda, encouraging poor decision making, is really irritating me.
Want to say thanks to the person who zapped me some monero the other day. I wonder, though, how useful monero is for zapping, on account of there being no public receipt. I typically zap things I want to see more of, but if it's coming from that route I wouldn't know what kind of content was being favoured. Great for trade, sure, just questioning the use case in zaps.
I've long thought that a change of algo would benefit bitcoin. Mining should never have become the centralised shitshow that it has.
However, other methods are available to undermine the control of the mining corps. So, I'm not taking a strong side one way or the other in this argument.
What I don't think can be disputed is that mining is currently fucked and now, slowly, insidiously, so is core.
Things have to change, as this is not what I dedicated years of my life fighting to build. I'm pretty sure a few of my old mates in the space may feel similarly.

As much as the drama is interesting and all, it's another glorious day out here and I'm making the most of it. There also meatspace events which require greater attention than bitcoin drama right now.
A single photon can spend a million years making the journey from the centre of the sun to it's surface, where 8 minutes and 20 seconds later some of them land here, on earth. Heck of a journey.
Trillions of the little fuckers just spent their entire million year existence waiting for the moment I pulled a chocolate digestive from its packet to impact on the surface of said chiccy biccy and turn it to a sticky slush in about 2 seconds flat.
Now, thanks to a story that started one million years, 8 minutes and 20 seconds ago, I'm sat here with chocolate covered fingers and nowhere to wipe them.
Good morning #nostr and happy Sunday ๐
I woke up on the boat today, didn't tie the dingy off, left it on the beach. Tides in, so it's too late to go anywhere. Guess I'm riding this one out.
Gives me time to do some desperately needed cleaning. A few hours, improving my space and some peace, quiet, away from the constant go go go of the city.
Hope you're all well ๐ซ
The view of the Bandstand in #Southsea #Portsmouth today. It's lush. Around 24c. Still air.
In the foreground you can see the bandstand and seating area, in the background, left to right, is the Southsea War Memorial (there are many around the city, maybe I'll give you a tour one day), then off in the distance is the Spinnaker Tower - supposed to be the "millennium tower", but only got finished 7 years late.
To the right, the wavy roof line cover the last remaining tank landing craft from world war 2. Just the videos of them getting this 70ft beast in to the city are worth a watch.
If you ever visit, there's a lot to see and a lot to learn about history.

Wow. This shit is getting worse.
Adapt, or die.
Those are the choices.

Like him, hate him, whatever, I don't care.
The fact the president of the USA is even mentioning it in an interview is a sign of how far we've come. Now we just really need to keep the suits at arms length.
They are not us.

Scrooby Scrooby doo, where are you...?

Haha, that's worth spending ยฃ200 on, I reckon.
