Bloody hell, that's the first time I've seen butters mentioned for ages. Almost forgotten he existed.

They don't argue back so much, either.

Britain may be fucked, but the fight isn't over yet.

They never believe how bad it was ๐

When I first created an Ebay account, the news was full of people saying 'wow, I got this bargain' because they'd won an auction which had been put in thebwrong section and so not seen by loads of people.
There was a chance to snag a bargain.
My entry on Twitter came about after I got in an argument on FB then found out a load of mental communists were sharing posts on twitter and encouraging people to give me shitbon FB. So I went and slagged them off where they were.
My entry to FB came about because they were no established kings of social media yet and a few of my mates were on there, but it didn't pick up steam for several years and the account was almost barren for the first few.
Lots of different platforms, lots of different reasons.
None of it was about 'adopting' a particular network. Each came with a reason.
What's gonna snag people and get them here?
Are you going to consider it a failure if someone doesn't immediately make it their primary social media method?
There's loads of big expectations on #nostr.
Let's tame them a bit.
In the UK currently, every new house/shop or place that's redecorated, gets covered in gray and black paint. All the cars are dull and dismal. Clothing is becoming dull and dismal.
It's just like Brutalism in the 60s architecture- a visible sign of defeat.

GM #nostr - back at the fiat mine, without my glasses. And a still slightly injured back. And it's pissing down.
Giving more thought to yesterday's post about the UK government's attacks on privacy.
All telecommunications are likely to be impacted. I said months ago that WhatsApp etc had already bent the knee - obvious when Apple pulled their privacy service from the UK after demands were made, but none of the others did.
What I wonder is, how secure will NIP17 DMs be? We really need to know how they're implementing this.
Things are so badly fucked up in the UK now.
The morons are attacking ALL private communication- personal, business etc.

Gonna read this properly in a bit.

Updated Plume. Users will now see recommended apps appearing in their feed, so there's a discovery tab for finding the other stuff content after every 10 notes, then starting from note 5, every ten there'll be a recommended app. Rising tides lift all boats.
