It's happened again 😂😂😂 This morning my follow count suddenly smashed all the way down from about 1965 people to 410. I fixed it, thanks to someone who posted a useful link. Now I've just opened Amethyst again and I'm down to 1152 follows. I'm going to stop all permissions for everything on Amber and Nos2X, coz something ain't right. I don't see how its happening either as I'm only using my site and Amethyst and while Amethyst hasn't displayed all content it should have today and my sites got its own glitches, I'm pretty sure neither of them are removing my follows.

The new site is not really ready to go live, I'll be honest there's a load of things I still want to do and a load more I really need to do. But, being as I mainly made it for me and for what I want from nostr, I won't worry too much. Hopefully when the backpain clears up a bit I'll be able to focus and complete these tasks. Main thing which marks it out is the profile feed - when I view a profile, I want to see all that someone does, marketplace items, photography, video, music, long form content - its all going to display in someone's profile. It'll make it easier for me to keep lists of people whose work I appreciate and I'll be able to see at a glance if they have new products/content that I haven't seen yet, alongside their standard feed.

This worked - unfortunately it's taken me back to a point where I'd removed a load of accounts that I'll have to go through again, but this is better than the meagre number I was left with. View quoted note →

A big part of my follow list has just vanished, all I've done this morning is look at nostr via Amethyst and my own app, I've not touched followers, at all, yet most of them are gone. Wtf.

Big progress on the site this morning. Added a marketplace function, with a little twist I don't recall seeing on other clients yet. It's not quite complete - I have to add DM functionality first, then go back and complete the process. Hopefully it'll be mostly ready by Saturday though. I wonder, are there many clients still using nip04? I ask because I'm only integrating nip17 DMs and I don't think that it'll render nip04. #asknostr

Finally reached the point while #vibecoding this site that zaps are being implemented. Hopefully this goes smoothly. So far today, I've made hashtags clickable (bit obvious, I know, but it hadn't been done yet), I've added a working search feature, again, an obvious feature, fixed a problem I'd created, tidied up the UI a little, added reactions counts to posts...now, the zaps. It's teaching me a lot about just how much goes in to the modern social media experience and a genuine respect for people who do this sot of thing, properl, without AI, day in, day out.

I was just having a browse through the book of faces and the dead bird and I noted something - 90% of the content on the book of faces is now AI generated BS, from videos to posts. There's hardly a human creation left on there. That is so fucked up.
