GM #nostr ๐Ÿ˜Š Coffee, breakfast then off to the fiat pit. I needed those three days to rest. A movie review this morning; I just watched the new Predator movie last night. I liked the last one, Prey, and I liked this one. But... There's a underlying message in both movies that I don't think I like; Dishonour your family, absndon your traditions and you'll be a hero. That might have spoken to younger me but it doesn't speak to 45yo me. That's the review. Make of it what you will.

Also, no, I won't be doing the outbox model. My personal experience of it so far has been disappointing. It's a great idea, it just doesn't seem to work very well, at least for me.

A question; I'm connected to a small handful of relays on the site I'm building. Relay management will come later. I've incorporated follow packs in to the options, but for some reason, despite only ever being connected to the same relays, the range of follow packs and their usefulness, changes almost daily. Surely the same ones should all be getting pulled, every time? This makes it look like followpack event types are being heavily recycled on relays, which would be weird. #asknostr

Might go and watch Presator Badland this eve. Looks like fun. Only rated 12a though. Wtf. Should have been done properly, as an 18.

10 years ago today we launched the first (and due to legal changes) only Bitcoin ATM in Portsmouth and, indeed, Hampshire. Great times. The industry was very very different back then. image

The "memory" function in Claude.ai, at the project level, reads like a giant arse kissing exercise.

A few screenshot of the progress for plume.website - still a lot to do. The profile view is missing a couple of data fields. The notifications don't render certain emojis and there's an issue when looking at anything other than the feed, where notifications don't replace the item on screen but bump it down. Should be an easy fix. Follow packs, work but currently ugly as sin. That needs work done. What's interesting is the site currently only reaches a small number of relays which don't change, yet the range of Follow packs which appear are different almost every time. Eventually I'll hard code a handful of personally curated Follow packs so that they're always available. To do before next Saturday; integrate zaps, update reaction buttons to show what reactions there are, rearrange menu options and add placeholders for new options, fix the feed view so that it separates everything out logically. After that, I have plans for the profile view which I'll begin to implement as I can, as well as a small number of features which I specifically want. Lastly, but by no means least, will be on boarding flow. Already made a start on that, but work to be done. I forgot how much fun it is to get creative. GM #nostr. I've decided that I really dislike AI voices used in endless AI slop content. It annoys me so much that I can't wait for AI to be given physical form, so that I can enjoy throttling it when it fucking speaks.

I try, generally, not to laugh at another's misfortune. However...when you park parallel to a fucking boat...what on earth can you expect to happen? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ image

GM #nostr fam - big hearty breakfast today, then I'm getting on with more updates to plume.website , I'm hoping to launch it on my birthday next week, sort of a little gift to myself. Loving the creative process right now, its got me proper buzzing recently ๐Ÿ˜„

So tempted to pay for the next level up with Claude. Doubt I'd need it for very long. However, limits do force me to walk away. Still...the temptation remains...

Finally got profile/menu section to be a sidebar on mobile. That was an agro, but not too bad. It's functional. I've done some tidying up of the UI, got rid of some bits that weren't needed. Tidying up a few more bits - quoted notes don't render within the conversation modal, but do in the main feed, for instance. Once that's done I need to work on how profiles are rendered. That's going to become a major feature of the site; there's a specific thing I want it to do and I'm really enjoying the process of creating it. Feeling that creative spark for the first time in a long time ๐Ÿ˜€ #vibecoding

I managed to fix the bits I was doing earlier, so that on mobile the compose note feature was hidden behind a button. Lots of fluff, but I got there. Next task is to remove the profile and menu section to a sliding sidebar on mobile. I know what the sites going to look like, eventually, and how it'll work, but it's one little thing at a time.

That took forever. Trying to get the mobile and desktop versions of the client to work as they should just took a lot longer than I'd have liked. However, it now behaves as it should. Gotta get the compose button working right now.
