Bed by 10, up by 5, sat and watched the sunrise and now taking a wander along the beach, again. This is how I picture my retirement looking like. This and the part time job to keep me busy and connected. So I guess, in a way, that means I'm basically retired. I'll take that. GM #nostr 🥳

I just spoke with my 22yo daughter and she decided to remind me of how I let her watch a gory zombie flick when she was waaaay too young and she had terrible nightmares for weeks... So I reminded her of how her mother would let her watch South Park at 2 or 3 or 4 years old and how she got in to trouble for teaching her nursery/school mates the Uncle Fucker song from said show. Yes, that's now the second time I've used that anecdote to deflect from my terrible parenting 😆 Somehow she made it to adulthood as a decent polite well adjusted young lady 😄 Proper miracle 👌 🙏

Can't believe what a lovely day it's been today - normally I'd have been at the fiat mine, but instead I'm on annual leave, I've been out for breakfast, sat on the beach and roasted, wandered through town...no stress, no worries, it's lush.

Today I finally gave in to reality and brought my first pair of jeans with a 36 inch waist. I've been in 34/34 for years and now...well, I'm 45, I'm allowed. #middleagestr

Just taken a quiet wonder down to the beach to sit and relax and wind down. As I was walking, a big thick headed bloke in his early 30s walked around the corner and straight at me, all angry and aggressive, shouting 'what about you, you want it too?', arms all ready to swing at me. 'What the fuck?' I responded... Within a second, my hands were out of my jacket pocket and I'd stepped to the side. Within 2 seconds I'd sized him up and realised that, whatever happens, this is gonna hurt, probably a lot. Within 2.5 seconds he realised he'd just been a giant cunt and started apologising and claiming MH problems. Of course, I'm pumped on adrenaline now, ready for violence. But he's apologised and is asking for forgiveness. So, I couldn't just hit him and let that surge of energy out, because that'd make me the cunt and I'd also end up with injuries, 'win' or 'lose', regardless. Total waste of time. So I had to walk away, pumped, amd then had to calm down while I sat at the beach. What an absolute total rotten pig stinking bell end. Why have some people got to be so fucking uncivilised? What has become of this world?

Last 2 hours at the fiat mine and I'm off for 9 days... I'd love to say it'll be productive and I'm sure some of it will be...but...definitely not all of it 😆🙏 Hope you're all having a lovely day #nostr ❤️
