SimpleX is getting a lot of love but why not Briar? Built in mesh networking capabilities...if it was as ubiquitous as WhatsApp then you'd hardly need the interwebs to communicate, at least locally.

I just got shat on, from a great height, literally...

Caught a little dab on my finger and a little bit on my jumper...but all around my feet was totally splattered...checked my hat, nothing there...

What's been done inside this old church (bombed by ze Germans in ww2) is beautiful - the nave was spared and has been restored and cared for with great new stained glass windows and the outer area where the fire raged still shows blackening on the stone.
