maybe i'm wrong, but privacy focused pay-per-use AI services like PPQ and Routestr feel insanely niche. the "pick from these 50+ models" UX is overwhelming (great for a few power users but not the overwhelming majority). also i dont think people care that much about the privacy benefits and arent willing to make a bunch of micropayments for it.

things like Lumo, AkashChat, and DDG AI sit somewhere between explicit KYC and actually private. they're not perfect but saying there's no improved privacy over using your favorite AI provider that has your email and credit card info is BS.
