Here’s an example of why you shouldn’t rely on only one relay. Club Orange was using only the Primal relay, and for the longest time their profile wasn’t showing up correctly. I kept wondering where they went, since I used to see them posting notes often. Instead, I kept seeing this strange profile with no picture or information. I thought, How did this spam profile get into my network? I couldn’t see any details and had no idea who it was. Eventually, I took the time to investigate further and realized it was actually the Club Orange profile. I told them about the issue, they added more relays, and now I can see their full profile properly. I really wish relays were “smart” instead of “dumb”—able to communicate with each other and sync our notes across relays. That way, we’d only need to add one main relay instead of many. Unfortunately, that’s not how Nostr works, so we have to add multiple relays. It’s annoying, but necessary. #relays

My dream is to self-host all my streams. At 5 GB per one-hour stream, Since i stream almost everyday. I would need about 1,825 GB of storage per year. 🤔 #data

Almost 2 years on nostr and my notes are supposedly taking up only 144 MB, that's about 72MB a year. That's not bad. My images and videos are at about 5GB but I rarely post videos because I host my own stuff and I'm certain I will run out of space. I wish there was a way I could cheaply host my daily streams which are 5GB every stream. We need a breakthrough in HD technology so I can store all my streams which after a year would be 1,825 GBs

It’s annoying when a country’s leader writes posts in a language that isn’t the country’s main language. They should have a separate profile strictly for English. We have the same issue in Canada, where politicians post in both English and French. Some of them even write every post in both languages. In Canada, they at least have an excuse, since French is the second official language—but even then, it’s still annoying. I don’t like or agree with having two official languages in one country. One great thing about Nostr is that you can easily create multiple profiles without any hassle or cost. You can’t really do that on other social media platforms. Has Trump written posts in Spanish? No in fact Washington has scaled back in writing Spanish posts since Trump came in which is a good thing. #elsalvador

What do you all think about this type of advertising? Users can pay a bunch of sats and they send mass advertisements via zaps for you. It sounds interesting. It's doesn't make me angry like regular advertisements, and normally I do check the domain that is being advertised. I think the biggest positive is that nostr is still quite tiny and the quality of notes and companies making things are high quality. So we haven't got any of the junk companies advertising on other social medias. I haven't tried their website. I might try it in the future to see how to works. Today I started following Nostr Magazine, but later the same day I had to unfollow them. They were posting the same notes multiple times every day just to reach people in different countries. I find that spammy and annoying. They said it's their strategy. I think they should create multiple profiles to target different regions. And honestly, most people in China speak Chinese, not English so trying to win over China with English notes is not going to win anything. If you’re a company, you should start by targeting people in your native language and a limited number of countries. You’re not going to win the whole world right from the start. Stop trying to reach non-English speakers with English. That audience is tiny and usually not worth the effort. That’s my marketing advice. I might follow them again in the future if things change. I have 9,745 thousand Kind 5 which are deletion events. I purged them and they keep coming back because the relays are "dumb" I wish they were "smart" and synced/talked to each other so i could send a mass signal to delete them off all relays. I don't know how i ended up with that many deletion events. I think it's from making typos then deleting re-writing notes. I don't want them because it's taking up space. #citrine
