i would like to see some more stats for relays such as post volume, number of collected clients, uptime percentage and response time, because i'd want good stats for that before paying for access to post to a paid relay.

what i found after looking through each of my relays individually was: Good relays relay.current.fyi (free, no bots) relay.nostrplebs.com (free, no bots) relay.mostr.pub (free, AP bridge) relay.orangepill.dev (paid, no bots) nostr.wine (paid, no bots) relay.orangepill.dev (paid, no bots) nostr.wine (paid, no bots) Okay relays nos.lol (free, some bots) relay.nostr.band (free, some bots) relay.nostrich.land (free, some bots) Bad relays relay.damus.io (free, all bots) relay.snort.social (free, unresponsive) offchain.pub (free, many bots) relay.current.fyi (free, many bots) brb.io (free, slow, many bots) nostr.milou.lol (paid, unresponsive) eden.nostr.land (paid, unresponsive)

within the first hours of using the mostr.pub bridge, it goes down on me. not a good sign. i wonder what it does once it comes up again? i mean, hopefully, it syncs up from the last known position. not that this repairs the damage of posts being delayed, but better than getting lost to /dev/null.

#[0] is there any chance you might implement support for line breaks in your ActivityPub/Nostr bridge? they don't seem to carry across to Mastodon when i post from Nostr, at least.

not quite sure everyone understood the question i asked earlier about Nostr relays, because i WASN'T describing a scenario with no relay overlap. rather, the scenario i was asking about was this: John: i made a post. i talk to relays A and B. Pete: i'm sharing John's post,. i talk to relays A, B and C. Charles: i talk to relay C only. can i see John's post, since Pete is sharing it?

hey, wouldn't it be up to the Nostr *client* to broadcast the original post to all connected relays for a reblog/share? i mean, if i was making a client, i'd make it do that. it's not like posts *have* to stay on the relays they were originally posted to. as i understand it, a client can share *any* post it knows about with a relay. it's signed with the private key of the user who originally made it, so...

for some reason, shares/reblogs don't always make it through the mostr.pub bridge.

can anyone tell me which relays are the ones with the Chinese spam bots on them? ๐Ÿ˜ซ

it's fitting that i use both Mastodon and Nostr because i have no strong political alignment.

what happens if i share a Nostr post that i can see via my relays, but other people can't see via theirs? do they still see it?

all right. all my Fediverse accounts now have a "lud16" field so they are zappable from Nostr.

interesting to see that one of Jack Dorsey's publicly listed relays is relay.mostr.pub, so he's following Fediverse stuff.

ActivityPub message lookup on mostr.pub can be a little slow, i'm noticing.

oh, cool, it seems i got Mostr bridging working. i can see my Mastodon account from here and my Nostr account from Mastodon. this is going to make a lot of things easier.

so apparently you can't revive dead lead-acid batteries with desulfators: i mean, if it was that simple, they would already be incorporating such circuits in battery chargers.
