perplexity has become so bloated, i don’t even know what it’s doing or what its default settings are. now, if you click on search, it starts some deep research for 5-10 minutes. why are they doing this?

Should you still learn coding even if AI automates it all in the next decade? Absolutely. Think about it, people still learned C even if they never built anything with it. Why? Because it gave them a deep understanding of computers, how they think, how they process data, how memory works. Without that foundation, the code AI spits out will just feel like magic. You won’t know if it’s right, if it’s efficient, or even how to fix it when it breaks.
In fact, this might be the best time to learn computer science. If you know what you’re doing, you could soon be running hundreds of AI agents, automating work exactly how you want. You’ll be the one calling the shots, not just relying on whatever AI gives you. With the right skills, you could outcompete entire companies—right from your own room. And if you’re paying attention, you already know this is coming.
the graveyard is full of intelligent people, who never took action. start doing stuff.

In the API, you can set the reasoning time, & it’ll also tell you the cost for each session in the response. This is some legendary stuff.

this is a serious violation of people’s basic right to privacy. they’re using these spywares to monitor us 24/7, tracking our every activity. this future is unacceptable. View quoted note →
Google secretly installed this app on various Android devices without users’ permission.
Reports suggest that it can scan through your photo gallery and takes up 2GB of storage.
You might want to check your phones; you can just uninstall it from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.safetycore

Something intriguing is on the horizon! Stay tuned! 🕊️ View quoted note →
qr codes suck we need something better, something more secure, & better looking.
Now, let’s create a personality based on none other than Dostoyevsky. We can upload all his books directly into his personality, model's 2m context window can easily handle it.
But you know what’s even more interesting? We can use an O3 model, enable deep research, and generate synthetic data specifically designed to recreate his personality.
This wouldn’t just rely on his books but would also capture a deeper understanding of his literature and its impact & then use that synthetic data to train his personality.
BTW, these personalities are shareable. So whenever I launch this app in the future, we’ll be able to share, import, and export them.
In fact, the chat history and personality data stay on your device. You can even switch the API and use your own, it will still work. It’s more like a client.
