Quick clarification about Blitz Wallet's current product suite: We have two separate tools right now: – A web app that uses the Spark protocol – A mobile app that currently uses the Liquid network If you load the same seed into both, the web wallet will auto-swap your Liquid funds to Spark, leaving your mobile wallet empty. For now, it's advised to keep your Liquid and Spark seeds separate to avoid confusion. Thanks for testing and bearing with us as we build!

Our recent announcement of self-custodial Nostr zaps on our web-wallet brought a lot of attention to Blitz. But with that came some important questions from the community: What happens to my Spark wallet if Blitz disappears? Can I still recover my funds? We heard you. That’s why we built https://recover.blitz-wallet.com — a fully open-source, reproducible Spark recovery tool. It works with any Spark wallet. If you have your seed, you can recover your sats — without Blitz, now or in the future. Trust yourself. Verify the code.

Thanks to everyone who tested and supported us through the initial bugs! You can now receive sats via zaps. However, we’re currently experiencing an issue with publishing the confirmation zap to the relays. We’re aware of the bug and actively working on a fix. So payments will go to your wallet fine, but they will not show up on Nostr clients.

Self-Custodial Zaps Are Now Live! Our Spark Web Wallet now supports Nostr zaps through your LNURL address. There’s no KYC, no custodians, and no complex setup—just simple, direct Lightning payments. We’ve improved the receive flow to show the QR code first, with the option to edit the amount after. Camera scanning is now faster and more accurate. You can also export your seed as a QR code.
