Dont be afraid to have children.
They change your life, give it meaning and make it worth waking up in the morning.
It's the greatest thing you'll ever do.
So many people now wait till its too late, or think I'll "cramp my lifestyle", but the truth is, having kids surpasses every other thing you think gives your life value.
Do it, you'll love it :)

The ghost of memories.
What is left behind as people pass through spaces, once busy, now quiet. Memories fade like a dream. #photography

Coming and going. #photography
My first attempt at street photography.

I went out today intending to take some street photography pictures documenting "the decline of civilisation" where I live.
My rule was going to be, no poor porn, no pictures that are obviously political, just pictures showing how badly things are deteriorating.
My camera never even made it out my bag.
Every picture would have been poor porn or political.
At 12am during a weekday, the place was full of drunks, junkies, suspicious looking creeps, beggars and apparently disabled people (with walking sticks or mobility scooters). Half the shops were boarded up and the rest were a mix of shops for specific ethnicities (Indian, polish etc), vape shops, Turkish hairdressers or Chinese nail bars.
All the classic stores and cool niche shops are gone.
I also felt very threatened, and I'm not exactly a timid person, but there was a horrible atmosphere about the place.
The crumbling buildings, failing infrastructure, dirt, litter, lack of investment and cheap pointless "art installations" didn't come close to comparing to the wasted state of the people.
Any pictures i took would have been sad and depressing, and I didn't want that, I was hoping to show a sort of "people thriving in the face of adversity" feel, but no, it would just have been people deteriorating in the face of abandonment.
I havent given up, but next time I'll go to more of a tourist place, or business area, where I won't feel I'm about to get mugged and, hopefully, I can tell the story without it being a completely soul crushing horror.
Almost looks like pyramids #photography

Freshly made naan bread ๐ made with just self raising flour and Greek yogurt (and a pinch of salt), takes 5 minutes and very healthy.

Oh no, I bought a new camera.
I blame you guys on here.
Being able to post my photography here and your feedback has been great, and encouraged me to keep going, so thank you ๐๐๐
This is good news, and matches what I've seen myself.
Goooooood morning nostr

Best piece of advice i ever got when it comes to photography was "make sure every picture you take tells a story".
It's something i forget a lot, but when I look back at my pictures the ones that tell a story are the best.
It doesnt have to be a human story, it could be just a feeling or a mood rhat the picture creates that then tells it's own story.
A polaroid i took at a local fun fair. Taken on an old 80s polaroid camera with new film.

People at work are now using AI for everything and its totally depressing and chaotic.
Need a report? Get AI to do it.
Need a presentation? Get AI to do it.
Need to write an email? Get AI to do it.
Its at the point people are presenting reports with completely nonsense data and recommendations because no one checked to see if the AI was correct, or they didn't know how to get the AI to do what they wanted properly.
Whole projects are started and stopped because of incorrect AI reports.
And yet management keep pushing it, "everybody use AI more". It's almost as if they're seeing how much they can get away with without people being involved, obviously ๐
No one seems to realise this and they just keep plugging away, handing over their jobs willingly to AI just because it means they don't have to think.
