"The browser wars teach us something crucial about business today: Innovation isn't just about technology." This is a lesson that has yet to penetrate bitcoin. Innovation is not just about technology or threat modeling; it's about serving people. Software and technology (two separate things) are there to serve people, not to exist in absentia of people. Bitcoin's underlying innovations must be abstracted and humanized in the same way that Netscape humanized the World Wide Web, which previously was accessed by tools like the CERN browsers. Thinking that bitcoin is "an asset" or "digital gold" is like believing the World Wide Web is "A Global Digital Library", and it's the same class of people making this miscategorization, in a field that has the same or greater potential to change everything. Imagine trying to imagine Twitter, or Flickr or Signal or WhatsApp or the iPhone...or bitcoin in the early days of the web. It's literally impossible, and for most, unthinkable. So many innovations have been compounding on each other, where we are today would be literally incomprehensible to a man in the 1990s using a text based browser to search an HTML document. The same thing is happening with bitcoin. The future of bitcoin is incomprehensible to the normal man, even people immersed in software as a service and "Tech", because bitcoin touches something fundamental to their lives: Money. And because a very large, very complex software and hardware infrastructure is now in place the rate of change of innovation is much faster than it was in the 1990s and the bottom of the column in the pillar of innovators is very wide, with many innovators working at every scale. In a situation like this, innovations can emerge very rapidly, and if the conditions are right, spread globally at light speed. Sadly, many people "in the space" are of limited imagination and threadbare in their knowledge of the history of the Internets, crippling their expectations and making it almost impossible to spot the next big thing before everyone else is talking about it and it's too embarrassing for them to admit they still, "don't get it". Because the base of the pillar is so wide and powerful, these ignorant people cannot stop what's coming next, and key to this is the Open Source software movement and ecosystem, removing the licensing woes and barriers that used to plague software companies. Did you know that an evil company had the "Patent" for, "The other person is typing"? If you wanted to use that feature in your software, having written it yourself, you could be sued by that company and it's evil founder. I'll leave you to guess who it was...but I digress... Bitcoin has a long way to go, and if you listen to the Wall Street Wonks to get your contextualization of it, you will be a loser. And no one wants that...do they?

As bitcoin crosses $100,000 there are still people out there, who absolutely should know better, who are directing users to buy it from KYC Gulag Services. Out of one side of their mouths, they complain about censorship, government overreach and tyranny, but out of the other they openly promote bad services that abuse users. Why? Worst of all, they do this to people who are new to bitcoin, giving them a completely false impression that it is a requirement for you to identify yourself to use bitcoin. What is wrong with these people? What's wrong with them is that their thinking is incomplete, and they have a slave mentality, brought about by years of being in opposition. Also, many of the services people recommend are USA only, which is yet another arbitrary restriction. Why is it so hard for people to think? They simultaneously want bitcoin to change the world, but refuse to help it do that, by recommending inferior services that will not move that ball forward. I'm sorry to report, dear reader, that it will always be like this; there is an upper limit to the imaginations of the majority of people, even very clever and expert ones, that prevents them from connecting the dots. It's a tragedy that people who also have large platforms don't take that responsibility seriously. But there it is. Not to worry; bitcoin is going to spread and dominate globally without them, just as it reached $100,000 without their aid. image

President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on bitcoin: “Everyone will strive to reduce costs and increase reliability" And of course, "increase reliability" means not using western payment rails that are riddled with and plagued by fraud at every level (from the fact that fraudulent fiat currencies are what is being mediated, to the fact that impersonation is rampant, both of which are eliminated by bitcoin), but settling on bitcoin which eliminates both, and the systemic risk of having Uncle Sam being the controller of the currency and the payment rails, enabling him to both steal from your citizens, expose them to fraud and surveillance and weaponize the payment rais as "Sanctions" levers. No. Bitcoin is the answer to all of this, and it's incredible that it has taken Russia so long to understand this reality. Now that they do, spurred on by GEPOTUS openly threatening them like a gangster, perhaps Russia and BRICS will go full retard for Bitcoin. If they do this, they cannot lose. Just as the International Community rejected the CDMA mobile phone standard for GSM, and America grudgingly followed along, the entire world can settle on Bitcoin and American will join in. BRICS winning does not mean America losing by the way. BRICS winning means America wins. Only America has the political system and the software engineering culture and genius to pull off becoming the world's centre for bitcoin. They did it with Silicon Valley and will do it with bitcoin. Other cultures cannot compete with American culture. Think about it; do you really believe that FRANCE can compete with America as a centre of software businesses? Or Britain? No one in their right mind is thinking about incorporating in INGSOC to establish offices in Shoreditch. Signal is not perfect, therefore, do not communicate or coordinate with anyone. Stay in your silo, inert and neutralised, watching the world burn while you are “safe” from being meta data spied on. Meanwhile other protocols that are fundamentally ill conceived or weak or flawed get a pass, “because purple”, “because e-commerce”, “because Orange”, “because there nothing better than democracy”, etc, etc. There are now many developers and software entrepreneurs, and a few software developer entrepreneurs, and a few software developer entrepreneurs who are not cowards. There are enough of the latter intersection to completely change the world for the better, and it doesn’t matter what anyone “thinks” about what they’re doing or whether or not it’s fit for any particular purpose. Central to their power is the ability to grasp scale and properly assess threats. They don’t suffer from Mind Blindness; they understand that software is about serving people, and not about perfection. PROTIP: The people don't have the power of pardon; only GEPOTUS has that power in January. And what happened to "simping for Trump"? Now you have to simp for Trump for Trump to Free Ross! Why not start small, and do what you can do in your own small way, and stop exposing people to the threat of identity theft? Despite what some people might believe, what is not required is a "Pressure Group" to help Bitcoin adoption. Well meaning people who've grown up in INGSOC believe that the optics of opposition politics is what will keep Bitcoin users safe from regulation. They're 100% wrong. Listing companies that people should use because they're "unregulated" or "outside the law" only generates scrutiny targets. It doesn't help anyone, and actually has another, hidden purpose. People love to rally behind the underdog; what they're trying to do is create the next "Assange", or "CND", or "Occupy Wall Street" that they can be the heads of, so that they're constantly being interviewed and getting their profile raised in the Mainstream Media. This will increase "Membership" in their organizations, opening the door to future employment in the "Compliance" departments of the companies they "defended", or will allow them to contract out consultancy roles for their companies. Think Rico and BitLicense as examples. And of course, being the de facto heads of "the Industry", not only will they scrape up money, but they'll be directly consulted on the rules to govern the companies they "represent", ensuring permanent roles for themselves in perpetuity. If you should refuse their offer of consultancy, they will threaten you that you will not be aware of upcoming changes and will not have a, "Seat at the Table" to protect yourself from predation, as they have a direct line to the violent thugs who could shut you down. Not going along with them will be portrayed as being an outsider with something to hide, as the people representing the industry will be for "transparency" and "Society". This is exactly how this matter works. George Galloway is correct. Britain has placed itself in a uniquely perilous position, and will come out as the ultimate loser. America will stand back and watch them be obliterated. This is true. People are more interested in having their biases and prejudices confirmed and magnified, rather than serving others for the greater good. They’re not interested in right and wrong; in fact they don’t believe there is right and wrong, like John Maynard Keynes. This is the reality everyone lives in. Thankfully, there is only one reality, whether anyone likes it or not. This reality is being played out right now in Bitcoin. No matter what anyone’s feelings are, their cereal box philosophies, delusions and threadbare personalities, the actual reality will assert itself, and whether or not you agree with it, or the people who tell the truth, everyone is subject to it. We are going to win. The enemies of reality are going to lose. We can see this playing out in real time, with people saying one thing and doing another, believing this will not be noticed. President Elect Donald J. Trump has promised to eliminate the Income Tax and move government revenue on to Tariffs as Taft did. The Federal Reserve Dollar is dying since it is being printed into oblivion (the definition of inflation). If Lummis was thinking correctly, the answer to several of these difficult problems at once is obvious. When the Income Tax is abolished and Tariffs are the source of income, it should be mandated that those Tariffs be paid in Bitcoin. This would have several immediate side effects. 1/ There would be a very large increase in demand for bitcoin globally 2/ The Federal Government would legitimately start to amass bitcoin 3/ No American Citizen would suffer theft to achieve this end 4/ The U.S. bitcoin ecosystem would be turbo kick started On the final point, these “monies” coming in to the coffers would be spent inside America, creating multiple cascading opportunities for innovation and learning in bitcoin handling.
