In 2009, I got a one-dollar note in Afghanistan and put it in my wallet. There was then no way to spend this piece of paper. So it stayed in my wallet. I've changed my wallet a few times since then, but I've always put the dollar bill back in the new wallet. I don't know why. It had no deeper meaning.
