Just found out one of the reasons the fdroid version of #amethyst is half the size of the Google Play version is that it has been completely degoogled..
..and as obvious it may sound I did not realize that was the reason for the auto-translate feature not being available.
I wonder what other features/functionality the fdroid version is lacking, then!

Investigating the cons of running #OpenBSD I realized I can easily do without Bluetooth. Still on Linux, but disabled it in BIOS already!
I have found my lost love for music and sound, strangely with the Koss Porta Pro that has been sitting in a box with old tech stuff about 4 feet away from my desk, in which it has been for over 15 years.
It just needed Yaxi pads.
I have since ordered the rhythm beige version, but replaced the defunct drivers with one of the old sets I already had. In that order I couldn't miss out on the KPH40, to which I'm currently listening.
The KPH40 on Android combination is using the USB-C dongle with its DAC that tested to be better resolving than the phone and laptop soundcards, replaced the pads for Yaxi's again for that extra bit of spatial improvement, using Wavelet with the AutoEQ for this headphone model, Spotify with its 320k non-normalising setting.
I have however been preferring the classic Porta Pro's lately without EQ directly on the 3.5mm port of the laptop for its enjoyable warm and playful sound and less fatigueing highs.. I suppose it depends on what I'm concentrating on, how tired I am, or the type of music I want to listen to.
The Porta Pro and KPH40 are a great pair!
I'm following the footsteps of many others here, as I just deleted #X from my phone.
It'll probably take a while to have a good social graph on #Nostr but that's going to be an awesome experoence with #Amethyst. #gonostr!
