Are Nests still the best version of Spaces on Nostr or has something else popped up?

Let’s see, what do I need to organize my life?
- A weekly newsletter on Nostr updates
- A weekly newsletter on Lightning Network updates
- A weekly newsletter on Bitcoin & macro developments
- A weekly newsletter on global news but focused on long-term trends
Yeah that would be fantastic
As a bitcoiner, it’s good to be reminded that to the average person, most explanations of bitcoin sound the way that explanations of altcoins sound to us. A whole lot of decentralization mumbo-jumbo culminating in vague promises of a better world.
Gotta be compassionate and meet people where they’re at.
Is there a Nostr client with only zaps, no likes?
Very appealing to cut out low-signal engagement
Basically Stacker News but here
Nostr is one of those dangerous things where not only is it engaging, there’s also the promise of real monetary reward if your content is just good enough…
…and yet almost certainly an insignificant monetary reward compared to what you would earn if you devoted the time instead to honing a craft you could monetize in the future, Bradley.
Do they make electric toothbrush-type devices for cleaning moldy crevices, or should I borrow my housemate’s?
So what are the best relays these days?
One of the reasons I love living in Tokyo is that as the biggest city in the world, you get all the convenience and optionality that entails, but you also get the small-town, everyone-knows-everyone community feel from the much smaller expat/foreigner subset.
Or are all other major non-English cities like this?
Universeにこんなに日本語多くて嬉しい😃
びっくり。

Are fight scenes and chase scenes in movies so long because there really are that many fight/chase choreography enthusiasts out there, or because it lets screenwriters not write as much plot?
Returned to Tokyo. Nice to be back in a country with civilized bathrooms, unlike the third-world facilities of the West.
This week I’ll be interviewing Graham Krizek, CEO of Voltage, on GM Radio about decentralizing the internet via Bitcoin & the Lightning Network rather than alt L1s/tokens.
You guys on Nostr already know the social layer of the internet is broken and that most people/companies using the term ‘Web3’ aren’t offering anything new, but I’m hoping to spread the message to crypto people, so any increased visibility is much appreciated.

It’s interesting to participate in the formation of a social media platform from such an early stage. On the one hand, I’d like a way to see significant posts since the last time I opened the app, rather than just the most recent. But that’s also the first step down the road to slavery to the algorithm like we see on every other platform atm.
The good thing about Nostr is that you’d be able to move between algorithms without losing your community, and I suppose in the end that’s the best we can do in any domain - preserve the right to vote with one’s feet.
Just not confident we’re actually able to evaluate the best thing for ourselves.
