lol i think i’m killing this laptop my older sister’s old laptop (she got it in like 2018 new at the time), 64.5% BH, was on Win10 – i put it on Win11, now on PopOS, upgraded it to 16GB of RAM, got super loud fans, currently on a dc call, running a local qwen model, playing portal :D

just me that’s more excited about local #ai models? google just posted about gemma 3n a nano model which they claim runs on 2GB of RAM (although god knows what gpu they used) offline, fast(?), no limits, privacy friendly seems cool – i am already impressed by running deepseek on my iphone atm
