A new set of philosophies is percolating in people’s minds, potentially giving rise to a new ideal personage. Most people here attribute these philosophies to bitcoin. As if bitcoin itself is changing the world. Rather its the ideas that radiate from it and the people whose actions espouse those ideals that will change the world. Don't place the onus on bitcoin. As good as it is, it's lifeless after all. It wont change lives, the people who use it as a tool will change lives. The world was once shaken by the quintessential American espousing the "American Dream". There is a new era coming and this new personage is not tied to a nationality, geographic location, or thing. Will your actions change the world? #grownostr #asknostr #plebchain #coffeechain #bitcoin #Philosophy
This song is BAD baby! 🔥 It starts off slow but the neo jazz mixed with that latin beat is a serious vibe
Just got back from a mid-day run. It was a scorcher. During my run I noticed a two man team of bricklayers hastily building the facade of a community sign for a new development in town. Both men were dripping sweat. One handed off bricks while the other lathered a layer of mortar and carefully placed the them. They were the only men on the construction site laboring away while the sun beat down. Cheers to all the construction workers! They toil away under the beating sun building the structures we take for granted. Seldom are they celebrated.
"Most Importantly- SHOW UP" One vital lesson Ive learned in life is that 95% of success is showing up. The rest takes care of itself. Show up consistently and do what you do best. Success will follow.
National Borders are starting to disappear defiant of an intense movement to further secure them. Politicians around the world are grasping to maintain power, clutching at the hearts of their fellow citizens and spurring the effort to raise walls and strengthen borders. Has anyone stopped to consider that, perhaps, borders are becoming obsolete? Borders were a necessity to protect valuable resources and ensure the prosperity of one’s people. Civilization began stagnant as agriculture required great populations to tend to one location. Ethnicities and cultures were purified and people laid all kinds of claims to their little slices of the earth. God ordained claims, folk tale and legend anointed claims, philosophically ingrained claims. These were unnatural claims to a slice of earth which never truly belonged to anyone. To be human is to be a nomad, to seek resources and relationships where they are and move to where they’ll be next. We’ve forced ourselves to live this way under the tip of a spear and at the behest of bullets but, technology is a mirror and what’s reflected is our true nature. People seek “freedom” of movement to go where the resources are. We’ve devised incredibly clever ways to transcend our spatial ties to specialized work and family in order to stave off our Itinerant hunger. Money is a spectral manifestation of our innate desire to traverse the Earth in search of resources. Humans imbue inanimate things with their nomadic spirit and dispatch them with the hopes that a little bit of the world would come back to benefit them. Unadulterated money would do exactly what was always intended of it, it will return undiluted resources to those who dispatch it, regardless of borders. Less intermediaries are needed with peer 2 peer and open source technologies. It’s incredibly difficult for borders to siphon the flow of resources and money or build artificial Silos of wealth disguised as GDP. A border doesn’t stop a software developer @Vitor Pamplona from participating in the fine tapestry of a project that is global in scale. A gifted speaker @₿en Wehrman can document and rally the participants. Money will flow to where the resources and intention of people are purest. A fellow in Venezuela, @Malos10 , can snap photos to craft art enjoyed by a fellow in the USA @npub1j9cm...xd49 and an exchange of value will occur. Spirits transcend borders and the “money” that transports them will disperse finely among the human population while the human population continues its search for valuable resources. A little girl living in a desert island never experiences thirst when the diaspora of humanity taps into bountiful fountain heads of water elsewhere. A father never lifts a weapon and is forced to leave their family to fight a war in a far off land for the sake of stealing the resources of another father when his specialized labor is more valuable to his supposed foe. Nostr and Bitcoin are among the technologies that reflect Humanity's true image. Who do you know is refusing to look in the mirror? image
What is most important in life, love or money? You’re sitting in the 5am darkness of your living room. The baby in your arms shifts and you’re afraid she might wake. It's hot, but you wouldn’t dare remove the blankets covering her body for fear you might wake her. It seems impossible you could admire anyone mor. Then, you hear the gentle snore of your exhausted wife creep from the gently cracked bedroom door. (As a man) You can only imagine what pain she went through to bring this precious girl in your arms now. Your watch lights up. You dread the sight of that little alarm bell icon above the time 5:25 and a weight falls on you like a million tiny pieces of lead. If only you had more time. You wish you could take your baby girl with you. That way you would have all the time in the day with her and your wife could be left to rest. You need to work. You get up as gently as you can. Even so, baby girl shifts in your arms. Her eyes open slightly. The thought of returning a crying baby to your exhausted wife is distressing, it's just not fair. Baby girl shifts again, her eyes open long enough to spot you in the faint glow of morning twilight and she smiles. You hold your breath. The smile remains on baby girl’s face but her eyes close and her head collapses into your chest. You return your baby to her mother’s side and admire the two of them in their slumber. You need to work. Nothing could ever go wrong with that house so long as you work to keep its walls strong. One day, when you’re truly needed perhaps you’ll have the money saved up to take the desired time off. In the absence of the love you share for your family. In the absence of the love others have for you, money loses some value. What is most important in Life? Love or Money? If we equate money for what it is, the residue of time, we cannot divorce Love from Money. It’s important to understand that Money won’t buy you Love and Love should never be exchanged for Money but, Time cultivates Love. These are some key things to keep in mind: -Life without love is Suffocation -Life without money is stress and despair, if anything because you lack the time for anything -Families are cultivated and grown with love and protected with money. -Money is the residue of time. Whether its fiat or bitcoin it exchanges days, hours, minutes, or seconds. What could you do instead of work if you had the money?
