Google Home's API intentionally doesn't provide a way to get or send the home/away status for a location, so I'm exfiltrating the data by tweaking the brightness of a Hue light bulb now and it works great. This is the best and dumbest hack I've ever written.

I keep running into this error after upgrading Kotlin: ClassNotFoundException: javaslang.λ I feel like I need an entire post-mortem on what the hell went wrong with that error message. (fyi, You can fix it by changing the JDK variant, in my case from AdoptOpen -> Oracle, though I'm unsatisfied in that long-term)
