cafe-society.news interesting new idea default "section recipe": Consists of njump.me rss/nostr feeds combined, then trained to sort by "dev/not dev" content. You might have to clear your cache or grab it from a private session window.

cafe-society.news now works with njump.me. With this improvement, nostriches can now consume individual or groupwise nostr feeds in order to train ML models.

3 minutes - create SEO metatags from rss feeds and chatGPT (or llama, etc).

Until everyone moves to Nostr, X/Twitter should identify censored content with actual blacked out content in tweets labeled with who requested the censorship.

I was on the marketing team at GoDaddy during the SaveToby controversy and the banned Superbowl ad controversy. Both stunts landed a phenomenal amount of free press and subsequent traffic. I was on the Sigaba sales team when they rented 6 heavily decaled humvees to escort journalists around Las Vegas during Comdex. As a salesperson and aspiring software engineer, I converted the melissa virus into an email guesser to bump my sales leads, making me one of the first to transition from fax spam to email spam. Prior to the Mt Gox collapse, I commandeered the "payments" weekly developer meetup in San Francisco to steer developers (and MicroStrategy consultants) to the bitcoin meetup. I got personal training from Regina Brady who's favorite direct marketing ad campaign was an apology letter for an event that never actually happened. In short, I've watched teriffic guerilla marketers apply their trade and I've done a bit myself. I see guerilla marketing written all over the Sam Altman business. P.S. I'm looking for javascript work and might be guerilla marketing to you now.

Head of some of the biggest AI projects on earth, Andrew Ng, says more than once in this interview that he expects AI processing to move towards the edge (on laptops). I agree, ChatGPT is doing it wrong (my words not his). If you try to anticipate every single question from every single user on earth with one huge 8 figure training session then you have to bombard the press and congress with advertising just to break even. Great for transferring investor money to advertisers like Alphabet, and MSN, but otherwise huge waste of electricity.

I am trying to filter global feed with machine learning, specifically wink NLP bayes filter. My problem is that big long posts score better than short posts. Anyone know how to solve that problem? Suggested books or articles?

I've been blocking nostr keys and training a wink nlp model to filter out bitcoin shilling and other noise in the global feed. The model is here: blocked keys here: scored, filtered feed is here: You can train your own.

Today I'm using cafe-society.news/nostrposts to downvote and suppress the surge of trump/carlson articles. Not something I want the relay to do.

I added trained model to to suppress bitcoin shilling, purple pilling, and naughty parts in the global channel. (Let that sink in please) More training required, but really good start on self-sovereign content filtering. If you prefer more naughty, just clear out the setting and retrain. Next step is to fix whatever is wrong on ios and way more polish.

cafe-society.news update: The the ML model publish button works, and creates private nostr messages to paid subscribers. However, when publishing, the messages seem to go into black hole. There are two likely reasons, 1) no authentication/authorization to send via random relays, 2) the message is just too big to fit through the nostr relay websocket connection. I can say with confidence that both need to be addressed. The easiest approach is to set up a paid relay that accepts big payloads, but we do these things not because they are easy. The plan is to reduce the message size by chunkifying and serializing the content into several small nostr messages. git-nostr is taking this approach, but git-nostr is command line, not an npm package and not going to work for cafe-society.news. This npm package for git over nostr is Melvin Carvhallo's brain child (according to Melvin), but a few months down the road we've seen not a whiff of actual code. Therefore, we will start on a straight up clone of git-ssb, called git-nostr and it will be an npm package called git-nostr. Same message structure and commands as the command line unix version of git-ssb. It will take us weeks or months to get to the next level...

As part of a hackathon, cafe-society.news added nostr global channel as a feed and set up alby payment verification. I got the same question a couple times about the name of the project, and the answer is "no, dumbass, that would be blockchainathon, blockathon as in this tool allows you to block z@p@thon dorks. https://bolt.fun/project/blockathon
