I spent some time yesterday playing around with my Elements (liquid) node, Aqua, Blockstream wallet, and Jade . I do use liquid for certain things and was hoping to consolidate some of these tools but it seems they all have different strengths and tradeoffs haha. Some things I learned:
* My elements node is paying too much for fees. The network reduced min fee rate to 0.1 l-sats/vbyte and I can't seem to do that with my node. Probably need to upgrade
* Blockstream mobile wallet works well with Jade but you can't airgap if using liquid assets. You need to plug in USB or use bluetooth. It also has some odd defaults that separated my l-BTC from some l-USDT (tether) I had so I couldn't send the tether anywhere without migrating my l-btc between wallets. (You need l-btc to pay fees moving other assets)
* Aqua doesn't work with Jade AFAIK but allows you to do some neat things like moving tether without using l-btc (it costs more as you're doing a swap with a provider) and using tether on other chains (again using a swap provider, you only hold tether on liquid at rest)
Who's your favorite character in A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms)? Mine might be Oberyn Martell.
If you can't get merchants to accept and hold bitcoin. Host a btcpay store for them and buy the SATs from them. They get maxis to show up, you get kyc free sats.
The hygiene allergy hypothesis explains social outrage really well.
A hero without a villain will create a boogeyman.
Some people will perform impressive mental gymnastics to convince themselves they're a victim. Is there a word that describes when a person justifies their actions based on perceived injustice?
