I must have spent at least 8 years looking for the closest thing to MS Excel, and I found it about 3 years ago... I tried so many things, and the ones most-recommended, I hated (OnlyOffice/Cryptpad and LibreOffice Calc).
For me, it's Planmaker by FreeOffice - works great in Linux. The interface and feel, but most of the shortcut keys I was used to with MS work right out of the box in this. https://www.freeoffice.com/en/service/tips-and-tricks/linux
