This is my 3rd phone. I will be only using it outside of the house for calls and emergencies, it's been turned off or in airplane mode since the day I got it. I have two other Pixel phones here (one in the bathroom because hey, I'm old now and I live alone, you never know when you could slip and/or fall). And another one here on my home office desk. These two only run on wifi or are turned off until I need them...I mostly use my tower PC/laptop (both "dumb" and running Linux) for comms when I'm home. PS - I was being facetious about stock Android and Apple being options 1 and 2, and btw, "There is a third option" is a famous quote--that's now been basically a meme, for decades.
