Money -- though its misuse by bankers and tyrants is a curse -- is one of the greatest inventions of all time. Money frees us from constant backbreaking labor just to barely feed and shelter ourselves, by making the division of labor easy and natural. The invention of perfect, unmanipulable, money -- the immutable ledger that is Bitcoin -- is an invention of equal status. It is the final achievement of the ideal that Thomas Edison and Gottfried Feder and Henry Ford and Clifford Hugh Douglas dreamed of. Bitcoin is one of the most majestic creations of the human mind and spirit ever brought forth upon this Earth. It holds the greatest promise of defeating the bankers of any force in existence. It is the hand of Providence reaching out to raise us up from our slavery; we must not refuse it.

On this day in 1945: The "Allied Control Council," a military occupation dictatorship in which the German people had no voice and which was a joint operation of Stalin's Soviet Union and the Western "allies," formally takes power in Germany. Among its first acts are a total disarmament of Germans (gun ownership was widespread in National Socialist Germany), absolute censorship of all media, destruction of millions of "forbidden" books, and the forcible relocation of tens of millions of Germans, causing widespread death.
