Congoid slang is corrupting the English language. Recently I read a headline, "house committee drops crypto bill." The obvious meaning of that is that the lawmakers were giving up on the bill and were no longer pursuing it. But no -- what the headline writer meant was that the bill had been submitted to the legislature. Very horrible, ambiguous language.
