How do I connect Damus to my AlbyHub on my Umbrel (reachable via Tailscale). When I select Damus on the AlbyHub apps store and get that QR code and copy the pairing secret and the paste that into Damus, I see a connected wallet but the address is wss://relay.getalby.com or something and zapping doesn't work. #asknostr

Hey @0xchat , whenever I get a zap, there is a red notification dot on the "Zaps" item in the Settings. It's kinda annoying, shouldn't it be enough if the zap shows up under "XX Reactions"?

Is it true/correct that there is no zap feature in Damus for iOS? #asknostr @Damus

On iOS, how can I keep my nsec secure and not paste it into every Nostr app under the sky? #asknostr #security #nsec

While doing all of this, be aware that everything you post here will be on someone's server for the next few decades and you can't get rid of it any more. If you live in a country where fascist cunts (ie all woke Western countries right now) can kick in your door and drag you into a re-education camp for posting thought crimes online, you better be very careful how you word your posts over here. #privacy #noPrivacy View quoted note โ†’

This sounds like a good idea. I keep thinking that at Twitter scale, total data will be north of 20TB per day and nobody will be able to store all of that, but if let's say 50% of all users run relays and each of these relay stores the user's very own events (obviously) but also all events of let's say up to 100 or 1000 users that this user follows, then the amount of data that needs to be stored per relay is manageable and everyone will have a huge amount of backups. But then, I assume, it will become impossibly hard for each client to properly fetch all events that a user should see on their timeline? A client would have to send out hundreds/thousands of requests to get all the data that is scattered accross tens of thousands of relays?? I should probably sit down one weekend and read the protocol spec and try to implement a client and a relay ๐Ÿ™ˆ View quoted note โ†’

Has anyone ever put together a tutorial on how to use Nostr truly anonymously and untraceable. Is it enough to simply use any web client behind Tor? What if one also wants to run their own relay in order to truly own their own data?
