Restricting #freedom and abolishing #privacy are not effective ways to improve society, even if criminals take advantage of them. Instead, it is important to focus on raising a new generation with strong moral values. However, modern society often neglects moral principles and instead seeks to establish #autocratic governments.
The fact that Bitcoin transaction are transparent and can be used to track usage patterns + it's fungibility ("Clean Bitcoins" tend to be worth more than the typical BTC on the blockchain since they have no history. ) are the main issues why I avoid BTC.
Is there any development to address these issues? AFAIK 2layer of lightening network tries to fix the first issue

For now #Nostr is a chamber of #Bitcoin fanboys. Hope it will grow and become an usable protocol, there is a chance!
Hope #Mastodon maxi problem will not spread here
#lemmy seems to be a defacto standard for anyone moving out of #reddit.
Do we at #nostr have a NIPs to compete and replace reddit/lemmy instances?
Nostr seems more decentralized, Lemmy/mastodon is like a mini Zuckers πΆβπ«οΈ

Editing #nostr notes would be useful feature.
If a #nostr note contains signed publish date, validated by relays, it can be useful to track edited content.
Edited one would published an updated date signed by the publisher.

What is planned to make #nostr clients more easy to use for normies?
@Openvibe seems to does a good job but having pub/key seems unfamiliar for most of them, so maybe instead of giving them a private key as a way to login, having phrases are better?
