the nostr algorithm that I'm developing could have a system built in to automatically pay the relays that deliver you the best content! finally relays will have a way to stand out from the crowd without requiring them to curate your feed for you.

I don't know why it's taken so long, but I expect now a Cambrian explosion of nostr algorithms is about the unfold the problem might have been because when investment money got into nostr, they promoted their own stupid trending algorithms that show the same 10 people IT'S TIME TO FLIP THE TABLES!!! nostr needs a dislike button

if nostr is primarily used for consuming posts from big producers, then any level of decentralization in the network won't matter because we haven't decentralized the flow of information

keep the balance of power on the side of the users. no relay will know or control what I see

algorithmic relays won't work. it's the wrong place in the tech stack

to have a production/consumption metric that is not easily gamed, post to reply ratio seems like the only viable option
