Someone tried to open a credit card in my name. If only there was a way to cryptographically sign that its me performing actions that a bank or credit card company would use. But then who would pay Equifax for their credit reporting and monitoring me!!!

I feel like #nostr might have some good thoughts on this. I have seen alot of justified complaining about modern apps or tech, but nobody seems frustrated with tech for babies! Why do all of these very helpful devices require connecting to wifi or having an app. I just this thing to play white noise, that requires a few buttons on the back of a sound machine, not an app. So many examples of being sold “access to more data to track your baby”. No no… i think you want that data. Shut the fuck up and play sounds for the sleepy little man. Its all the newer companies doing this as far as I can tell.

I changed my last name. So now i’m sitting in the Social Security Admin office to update my SSN information, because thats needed for an updated driver’s license. Because thats needed for an update birth certificate for my child. And you can only imagine how inefficient this office/check in process is. As @Marty Bent would say, this is truly a humiliation process.
