This is a very high state to achieve! When I was younger and less wiser I thought I reached that state, but I was lying to myself 🫢

Just watched The Invasion of the body snatchers! The film is really interesting! I feel like having a discussion about it at a film class. It has a lot of subliminal messages about the “current” situation of humanity! The casting is really good like everyone fits perfectly into their role. Sound effects, angels and close ups are done professionally. I just hope the end was different or it was one of those films that had two endings. I like happy endings! At the end It kind of kills all sorts of hope and resistance for me. It is like saying you are doomed!!! so whether you resisted or gave up it doesn’t matter. I think this description fits in with an article I read about hypermodernity which according to my understanding sounded pessimistic and accelerating people towards their inevitable destiny! I still believe in goodness and resistance and hope though :’)

I think the solution to many problems in our society today can be solved if people go back to their fitra and get connected to their inner child

Following on my post about work and how I believe in the importance of working hard and building and creating…and so on…I can’t get my head around the idea of “Bitcoin is easy money”. Seeing Bitcoin rocketing up again makes me happy of course but it gives me this feeling of confusion mixed with guilt and anticipation 🙃🙃

I believe that we work for many important reasons than just get by and survive . We work as hard as we can to save as much money as we can to achieve our dreams. Whether these dreams are buying a house, buying a car, paying zakat, giving charity,getting gifts for the people you love, traveling to a dream destination, buying a pair of shoes, taking a class…etc…work is not only about paying rent and bills. It is about building character, building community, participating in the wheel of life and most importantly occupying your soul with what is right before it occupies you with what is wrong.

I was having a conversation with my husband about art and he said the most beautiful thing “Creating art gives you this indescribable feeling! A happiness that stimulates your mind and cannot be bought by money!” His words stood out to me because in the material world we live in today, People get busy making a living that they forget to make a life and a legacy. How many people have put their dreams and passion projects on the shelf until they became dusty and forgotten!
