Such bullshit that the back button doesn't work in the YouTube (Android) app just to make you enable search history.
I say we burn all Big Tech to the ground and start over from scratch.
That is the Big Reset we need.
I'm still amazed the best printing experience I have across all my platforms is a tiny app on #SailfishOS.
Whenever my desktop, Android phone or Chrome browser barf on some PDF I just sent it to SeaPrint and it just does what it is supposed to do.

It's probably too late already but Americans need to rise up en masse to displace dictator Trump and everything to goes with him.
There's no other way.
Peaceful protests are not going to do anything. There will not be a (meaningful) next time to vote.
This will get a lot of people killed.

I think a lot of nerds on here a going to have to take a hit to their convenience and start evaluating alternative mobile OSs as daily drivers instead of crying about iOS and Google's Android.
I'm interested to hear your results!
To displace Apple and Google these kind of changes need grassroots support for those alternative platforms to get better (and to get funding) so they need a lot more users and developers.
We've done this before (Microsoft, Internet Explorer) and can do it again!
(I've been using #SailfishOS since 2013 and #GrapheneOS for years.
Happy to help with questions.)
With Google locking down Android are there any viable mobile OSs, not based on Android, usable as a daily driver besides #SailfishOS?
I haven't used any of the other mobile Linux OSs besides #Sxmo for a short while.
And "viable" is of course very subjective but minimally one should be able to make and receive calls without any issues, SMS, mobile data up to 5G amd VoLTE, run a Signal client and browser.
Apparently I was working on a Common Lisp Unix shell two years ago as a fun project.
It is just minimally functional but maybe it'll make someone laugh, so I've uploaded it to Codeberg.
