"Woe to you who desire the Day of the Lord! Why would you have the Day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light." — Amos 5:18 God doesn't just warn us against predicting it. He warns us against desiring to hasten it. Against positioning ourselves as participants who can arrange the conditions, move the pieces on the board, and trigger fulfillment on a human timetable. That is not faith — that is presumption. And it carries its own judgment. What we are watching unfold in the world right now — in the Middle East and beyond — involves actors who genuinely believe they are engineering prophetic conditions. That they understand the blueprint well enough to accelerate the clock. Some of them hold real governmental influence. That should sober every believer paying attention.
