📍🇬🇧 Bank of England Unveils Final Stablecoin Framework with £40 Billion Cap ➡️ The Bank of England has published its long-awaited framework for systemic sterling stablecoins, scrapping earlier proposals for individual holding limits while introducing a £40 billion issuance cap per stablecoin. The central bank also softened reserve requirements, allowing issuers to hold up to 70% of backing assets in short-term UK government debt and 30% in non-interest-bearing central bank deposits, compared with the previously proposed 60:40 split.
