Was in a nostalgic mood today. Sheilbound was a killer and three-piece from Cleveland, OH made up of Mike Shumaker (who went on to join Bob et al. in Hey Mercedes), and twin brothers Isaac and Jacob Edwards. This was their only full-length, recorded over a couple days by J. Robbins, at Inner Ear in Arlington, VA. Mike is an immense talent. We immediately bonded over a mutual love for pre’80 RUSH and crisscrossed the country countless times, in different vans, always managing to run into one another, making the road feel like home. #tunestr #grownostr

I re-watched Taylor Ward getting hit in the face yesterday by an errant Manoah pitch. Baseball is a beautiful game. It has a slow pace of play but the actual action happens so quickly. If an elite athlete cannot react in time to protect his face from a 90+mph pitch: it should be expected that hitters don’t have enough time to react when they guess incorrectly. Swinging at pitch outside the zone or taking one right down the middle is going to happen. Don’t get angry about it. Hitting #mlb pitching is the most difficult thing to do in professional sports. Players only find success when they guess correctly and the pitchers makes a mistake. It’s a game. It’s all good. #mlbstr
