Could there be downside or is this BTC going up forever ?!?! No markets are certain, including bitcoin. Against odds, bitcoin could trade down after you buy today. Let’s say you buy right now. It could trade down tomorrow . But then trade up over the weekend . Then down again Monday. But basically yeah it goes up; but it also goes down. If you are okay with some potential downside short term, but upside long term then good investment . However, trying to time the market is really tricky . It’s just luck for the most part, if you decide to wait till it drops but then it doesn’t drop … then you are now buying at an even higher price . There’s no point getting so fixated on its current price by a few thousand each way. When BTC eventually reaches $200k or $300k in the foreseeable future. RETIREMENT FUND is a SCAM Putting into your retirement fund through your whole life can’t save you. They can adjust the age you receive, tax it away from you or inflate the currency through printing money. By the time you get it, it’s significantly less than what you put in . The dollar has depreciated in purchasing power and they only allow you to slowly leak it out through pension and heavily restrict its use cases. They are praying you pass away before getting to use it so they can tax 50% of what gets passed onto your spouse. If your spouse follows you shortly after (morbid I know) , they can then further tax the fund as it gets passed onto the kids / next in line.
