So programming really is just fix one thing break 10 things, fix 8 things, break 3 things, fix all 3 of those things, go to sleep, wake up, you broke 10 things because screw you for sleeping lol
Added, better feeling movement, jumping and such, added where you can move a little while attacking and made in where after a set number of frames you are locked in that position (meaning you swing, you didn't turn back fast enough you get smacked by the enemy)

Having some real trouble finding good background assets, and having it "vibe" with the background I'm already using for another level
Very happy that I can now kill an enemy and he has a death animation, need to get him walking and then get him chasing me and I need to speed up the player attack and get movement overall feeling better, very clucky feeling currently. Also it's 4am, I haven't slept, idk when I will but when I do, I'm sure it will be good sleep.

So i got the damage to make sense now, i did bug up the coins now, when you get hit they reset, thats a quick fix i'm pretty sure lol. Also didn't remember if I showed your player attack animation before, so i'm showing it now, i've had it working for a bit(doesn't do anything yet though)

I also started making another level earlier when I was stuck on getting the damage to work, so all I have left is some minor stuff on this intro level then we are off to the real game.

I got damage to work, it's not perfect, completely out of wack with the animations, and the enemy isn't walking around or chasing me but considering I was stuck in this damage from enemy stuff for a while I consider this an absolute win. (This whole time i just needed to use my killzone but modified to not insta-kill)

I can't get the hitboxes working with the UI so screw it I'm just going to make more levels for now and get more of the game done, sitting at a roadblock all day is annoying, I'll come back to it later.

Since I can't figure out the damage+UI updating I added a coin pickup sound, it's important to not neglect audio, I will get back to the damage+UI issues tomorrow
Super struggling to get my health UI to show damage and also to do damage at all
I just spent the last hours or so completely pissed because my enemy character wasn't doing his animation only to find out that I was calling the animation in the code by the wrong name... đ
I need opinions, if you are playing a 2d platformer, and you die, do you exact to lose all your coins? Currently my game does this, but the coins aren't permanently gone you just have to pick them up from were you found them previously. (The level full resets upon death) Though if I keep it this way let's say you got 4 coins from lv 1 and then you make it to lv 2 and you die, those 4 coins you got would be permanently gone in that case.

I'm not even close to a functioning game, but i have an idle animation, a moving platform and coins disappear when you touch them. So, I have a start, I don't really know what I want this to be yet, put I have a start to something nonetheless.

Is there a tool kit of some sort for building nostr stuff that even a complete stupid head when it comes to programming like myself could probably patch stuff together and get something at least semi functional?
JavaScript doesn't make any sense at all, yet it's the only language you can use for the web.
