The first What the Node Wednesday was a wild success! A dozen people came, we fixed problems and learned a lot!
Someone worked in tech and gave away two crates of mini computers at the end! 😁
So I feel very proud (and my apologies but I'm going to brag a bit 😁)
My Resiliency Salon has been a lot of effort, and lot of outside my comfort zone work, and a lot of my own money. But I feel called to do it and think it's an important strategy for moving our society into a better future.
Yesterday the mayor of our city swung by and asked to chat with me. She'd heard about our group and wanted to know more. After over an hour she wanted to join and have the city support us where possible.
I know, I know, government isn't the favorite of people on Nostr. But this is institutional buy-in based on my proof of work and I couldn't be more excited 😊

As a housewarming gift my sister gave me some coleus she started from seed and some sourdough starter.
I remember decades ago when she acted like I was crazy for getting so into gardening and baking. I'm so proud of her now feeding her family homemade bread and fruit and veggies from her giant garden.
I said I didn't want to take all her plants and she laughed and showed me a whole grow room full of these coleus (aka flame nettle or painted nettle) because she's doing her own landscaping around the house too. She had about 300 of these starts 😂
I'm feeling loved and blessed and well underway to have a very happy home of my own 🥰
