It's been a week without sugar in my coffee, no cookies or other delicious baked goods, no chocolate or candy.
I will say, I feel like the inflammation in my body has gone down. My joints hurt less. I have less brain fog. Sugar is clearly not good for me. I'm glad I'm cutting it out.
I'm also super hungry. I don't think I realized how many extra empty calories I was consuming with my sweet tooth.
I've been eating about the same aside from cutting out sweets and desserts, and walking a lot more since it's thawing out here. So I thought, surely I must be losing weight?
I weighed myself.... And I've actually gained 5 lbs π«
I worked with a very good dietician once who talked me through how often for women if you start working out and cutting calories you'll often gain weight at first.
There's some caveman era programming that makes the body scared that I'm entering lean times. It prioritizes preserving the baby making abilities, which do require more fat.
My body's screaming, "oh no she might starve soon!! Do not let a single calorie go we've got to keep these titties juicy as long as possible!!"
Anyways, I'm not doing this for weight loss I'm doing this as a spiritual reminder of my ability to control my inner compulsions.
Good morning π
