In Keychat, services can be offered in two ways: through chat bots or Mini Apps.
Both are open for anyone to provide.
Chat bots are ideal for simpler, single-purpose tasks — like AI bots. Mini Apps, on the other hand, are designed for more versatile and feature-rich services.
Users pay sats to chat bots and Mini Apps through their Keychat Wallet. The operators of these services receive the sats directly.

For a browser app, it only takes you — it’s a tool you can use alone.
Maybe that’s why browser apps come in even more varieties than chat apps.

Why do so many developers choose web apps when building mini apps?
Because web apps offer advantages that native apps can’t replace.
What we need are more web apps that support Nostr login and the Lightning Network.
Nostr login and Lightning will amplify the strengths of web apps.

In Keychat, everything starts with a 12-word seed phrase.
The seed phrase derives multiple IDs, which can serve as both chat IDs and browser IDs.
It also derives the private key used to recover the wallet.
Both chatting and using mini apps in the browser rely on the ID and wallet.
For developers, building web applications offers unique advantages over native apps — lower technical barriers, faster development, cross-platform support, and the ability to publish without app store approval. In fact, for most (mini) apps, web apps are already very practical and easy to use.
However, for users, the experience of Nostr web apps is limited because browsers do not natively support Nostr ID login or Bitcoin payments.
Keychat solves this issue by combining its ID and wallet with browser, overcoming this limitation and improving the user experience.

How can we provide a secure login method for Nostr web clients?
The typical approach is to develop an ID extension — the browser plays the central role, and the ID is just an extension.
Keychat takes the opposite approach: the ID is the core, and the browser is simply an extension.
