Basing a Nostr client on Pablo's NDK has in a way shielded me from having to actively participate or even read the actual protocol development discussion on the nostr-protocol nips repo. A blessing and a curse. I've been able to focus solely on my client code without having to worry about anything else too much. But now I'm missing a lot of valuable context from the historical protocol discussion, obviously. It's a hard balance.
