I think financial freedom should be the basic goal for everyone. If you reach it, you can start to flourishing. Why? If you take away the burden of "have to make money", you will be able to concentrate more on the value you provide. This funnily will result in earning even more. Of course, this might not be true for all jobs. But there is a high chance, that if you are flexible enough, you will do what you wanted but in a way that you earn money. I think there is nothing bad in earning money. It basically means someone wants to exchange his time (earned money) for the value you provide.
