I understand the argument that it’s an IOU However the dollar used to be an IOU for gold You can withdraw the sats to self custody anytime you want to That’s my argument… it’s still sats I was completely against ecash until I spent a couple days playing around with it I didn’t realize the interoperability That’s what got my attention The fact that you can sent sats from an ecash wallet to a regular lightning wallet and from a lightning wallet to an ecash wallet It’s just sats That’s why I don’t like the framing of it wen people call it a token Thst makes it seem like a different thing. It’s sats I mean you could say it’s like a lightning gift card that you can buy sell or spend. But I think a better comparison is to the paper dollar.
