Thanks to all who signed up to test our Android app! We've reached the required number of 12 testers to move on to the next step of applying to get into the Google Play Store. If anyone else wants to join the Alpha test in the meantime please send us your email and we'll get you an invite. We've already fixed a few issues around cookies not working to direct people to the right landing page, the back button not working and the camera not working. Please keep the feedback coming! We've revoked some NWC connection secrets due to concerns of a security leak. This affects NWC connections that were created before Feb. 19 2025. If you're having trouble zapping from Coinos via NWC please visit https://coinos.io/settings/nostr to create a new NWC connection and then copy the new connection string into your Nostr app.

We're currently seeking internal testers to help us get into the Google Play Store as well. The Android app doesn't offer anything new or different from our existing Progressive Web App other than the ability to open bitcoin: lightning: and nostr: links natively In fact the Android app is just a simple wrapper around our web app, but we hope that by releasing it we'll be more easily discoverable for people who search for Coinos in the Play Store. We'll be looking into releasing an iOS app in the future as well.
