Just some context - @Isa ⚡️ , @Adam O’Brien and I set up a media company at the beginning of 2024 with the mission of awakening the sovereign individual. The documentaries, shorts and weekly shows we have produced thus far have ranged from Bitcoin-friendly, to some pretty controversial and hard-to-sponsor or monetize topics. Since we don't have millions of subscribers, it's fairly difficult to fund this content via affiliates / sponsorships or subscriptions. Regardless - we've been able to reach around 23,000,000+ views across all our media in just 2024 alone. Zaps have allowed us to recover significant portions of the capital it has cost to travel, edit, and produce these videos while we continue to create an economic model that works long term that still allows these high quality videos to be released for free. Thank you to everyone who has supported our work so far - we appreciate it beyond words 🙏 More awakening to come in 2025.

lil rant: am I the only one who thinks that NOSTR sorta gained steam at the wrong time? I know Jack was a big part of the early onboarding back in Q4 2022, but something tells me if it all came together just a bit earlier in the 2021-2022 censorship crisis w/ Jan 6th, trucker protests, etc - NOSTR would be EXPONENTIALLY more complete on a software + UX perspective by now than it actually is today. the use case for the average person is just not that obvious or impactful in an environment that isn't hostile towards free speech, which Twitter/X isn't at the moment. and even if it were to become gradually worse, the benefits of using a centralized platform for free speech (like hosting videos natively) vastly outweighs the difficulty it takes to execute the same speech on this one (maybe I'm shouting into the wind, but I thought it'd be worth posting since I can never delete the thought on NOSTR even if I wanted to, the same way I can't delete the thought from my head 😂)

The NYC government came and euthanized this guy's (Mark Longo) adopted squirrel “Peanut”, which he’s owned for 7 years, for "protection of public health". Mark Longo and his wife moved to Upstate New York last year to start P'Nuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary, which is named for his pet and officially opened in April 2023. The sanctuary houses more than 350 rescues and has been relying "heavily" on donations from Peanut's online followers to help more animals.
