Bitcoin is the perfect counter-example to "deflationary currencies mean people won't invest and build things because there is a better/safer capital return by just hoarding money". There are hundreds of entrepreneurs, educators and early Bitcoiners that would be way wealthier in BTC terms today if they just hoarded their first BTC purchases instead of using that capital to build their businesses. Instead, they built things THEY wanted from the world, spent Bitcoin to do it, created countless jobs, made big impacts, and likely have little to no regrets. Wallets, layer 2 networks, decentralized communication, educational media, hardware wallets and much more.
