Over 48 donations have come in ranging from 500 sats ($0.10) to 90,000 sats ($30). This effectively pays for 25% of the total cost of my video 🎞️🎥 No YouTube superchat taking 30%. No Patreon taking 12%. 100% of all funds from the community going towards funding a passion project. All without even cracking 10,000 subscribers or 4,000 twitter followers. Not only is the technology of this gamechanging, but the generosity here is something that speaks to the ethos of the #bitcoin    community. It's lonely as f**k making these videos sometimes, but you have all made me feel the love of this movement towards a sounder monetary system. Thank you for everything #bitcoin    community - I can't wait to make more videos showing the vibrancy of what we are creating here. Truly awesome and humbled today.

Quick tip for people looking to post more native video on NOSTR - compression is key. IF you actively post videos on Twitter - you can use a service like Twitter Video Downloader to get a compressed version, then upload onto something like nostr.build Alternatively, any video uploaded to vimeo.com gives you a variety of compressed formats in different resolutions for download. Snort.social also has an attachment function that does something similar. Until a larger-scale decentralized video platform comes around, these are good options to share your videos. And if you can host yourself on your own server - even better!

Hi Nostr! A year ago I made a 2-part mini documentary on Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador. Due to having a much smaller following at the time, it got pretty buried on Twitter + YouTube and definitely didn't get as much reach as I think it could have if I published it today. We spoke with some amazing Salvadoran business owners, visited some amazing locations, and put it all together with a pretty vibin' soundtrack 🎶 I'd love to see if it can get a second look on a new platform. And who knows, you might learn some interesting things too!
