Police use of face recognition technology (FRT) poses a particularly massive risk to our civil liberties, particularly for Black men and women and other marginalized communities Government use of FRT needs to be banned or it will be abused

Up until November 2021 Meta was scanning the face of every person in photos posted on the platform. Glad to see Texas is fighting back and stopping companies from capturing biometric identifiers for a commercial purpose

A single custodian now controls the coinbase addresses of at least 9 pools, representing 47% of total hashrate. It's time to consider a different type of mining pool like Ocean.xyz Ocean is a non-custodial #bitcoin mining pool. It was relaunched recently by @Luke Dashjr @Bitcoin Mechanic with support from @jack

Great episode @Daniel Prince with @Bitcoin Mechanic, @giacomozucco & @leo_haf. Very informative discussion about SPAM on bitcoin. If you are on the fence about this issue it's time to pick a side and support filtering out these types of transactions

#Bitcoin #Mining is not decentralised, the hashing is but only about 12 main mining pools construct the block templates and decide what transactions go in the blocks. That is way too much power in too few hands! Listen to @Bitcoin Mechanic explain the problems and solution to @Stephan Livera

Check out @preston podcast where @GrassFedBitcoin explains how bad it is for Bitcoin to have only 12 main mining pools deciding what transactions go into blocks and how important new mining pools like Ocean are for keeping Bitcoin decentralised and censorship resistant.
