Jesus shit, this feed is populated with nothing, or everything all at once? How is this shitstorm viewed as usable?

I'm a veteran of several minutes. I can tell already I dislike the UI for following individual threads. I feel confident I'm going to fuck up, and/or nope out of a discussion because I'm not willing to invest cycles to follow what should be intuitive.
